These metrics may seem relatively low when looking at our training plans compared to some online recommendations. Why is that?
The CTL score is based on a moving average of your TSS over the previous four weeks, weighted most heavily towards the previous 7 days. My plans have a recovery week every fourth week, which will effect the CTL score (making it seem lower). However, 20+ years of training, competing and coaching have shown this method to be extremely effective, especially for amateur athletes.
